Today we’ve rolled out some updates to the front-end of all UserVoice accounts that were created since March*. It doesn’t look like much at first glance, but these improvements are designed to make it even easier for your customers to get help and leave feedback on your UserVoice site. The results of our beta tests were strong: these changes make it much clearer how to use the UserVoice interface.
The main gist of the changes is that the sidebar was very fragmented – we had different sections for different tools and it took up a lot of vertical space. Now everything lives neatly and compactly together.
There’s a lot of minor changes here, including clearer paths to add ideas, less unnecessary text in the sidebar, balanced font sizes, and more. The most flashy change is that we now pull up account-wide results right in the sidebar when you search, much like how our widget works. This gives your customers the opportunity to find knowledge base articles or ideas that match their search without having to navigate away from their current location.
We’ve always got more improvements in our heads, and we’re sure you do too. If you have any issues or feedback, please let us know.
