As much as we like big, sexy feature launches, there’s always plenty of small things that need improving. Over the last week or so we’ve been doing some basic maintenance and cleanup with the Admin Console interface, mostly based on customer feedback and data.
While we launched a new, smarter, faster sign-in for end users several months ago, the Admin Console was left unchanged. We’ve now implemented this new sign-in for the Admin Console. It should be much faster and look different, but that should be the only change you see.
We’ve added our Getting Started section, our documentation, and our contact form (powered by UserVoice, of course) to the header of the Admin Console. We did this because we get a lot of questions in our ticket system about getting UserVoice set up, so we felt that this should be made more prominent.
The “visit your site” link that used to live in the upper left now lives in the dropdown menu on the left side of the page
The settings that control the design, name, URL, etc of your account previously lived in the Channels part of Settings. A lot of folks were having trouble finding these, so we’ve moved these into General Settings, which seems a more appropriate place.
We hope all of these changes make your experience with UserVoice a little better…but please let us know if any of them are making your experience worse!
